Intrepid Kim Adelman found resources, worked with both willing and recalcitrant engineers, created an open-source community with the CALCARS initiative for plug-in Prius technology, found a source for the NiMH batteries from Nilar, another genius company, and is now preparing to go into production with a long-lasting, safe NiMH PiP.
