Jon Koomey has been very influential in helping define an energy efficiency framework for data centers and the Internet. Fair Isaac's Sustainable Enterprise Initiative is a vibrant example that illustrates very well how the IT carbon footprint can be reduced significantly. It requires the right leadership and deployment of services in the cloud, as well as, virtualization.
