A lot of people contest the casting for wendy, but with jack being such a strong character i think it works. faced with your love going bat shit crazy (which j nicholson plays so freakishly well)and yourself being of pleasant nature im sure it would turn you into a jibbering wreck. her willowy and feeble appearence contrast very nicely to that of jacks masuline and overtly deranged persona.

i think shelly was pretty cute in this movie, and she was very sick during the filming of this wich gives a more convincing effect of when she is scared

Big source of contention between King and Kubrick was how he (Kubrick) redid this. Still get goosebumps watching this! Never gets old and never get used to it!

This is different from the book. In the book Jack is strangling Wendy and then she gets a wine bottle and breaks it over his head. And Danny helps her put Jack in the pantry. Why did they pick this woman for Wendy, in the book she has blonde hair and is attractive lol.
