aaron neville is "one big ol teddy bear" I love him and his unique inimitable voice. This particular song was recorded long before Katrina but he and his brothers had the foresight to write and perform the song......

a friend went to some concert, (i forget which) and he came back and was lik "some huge african american guy came on stage to open the show and he moved me to tears, he had such an amazing voice!" and trust me this frind of mine doesnt cry for anything. shows you how beautiful arron neville is

Well... they did have to change the words a little to make it about nature testing mankind's resolve versus the rich people being valued over the poor (as Newman intended, imho). That's music though, for good or bad, Born in the USA can somehow become a patriotic song about how much we love the USA instead of a song about how the US forgot about Vietnam vets ;).
