This is a great option. It should be available in 2008. I'm hoping to be on the short list. This will be great with my grid tied solar system on my home. Clean and green displacing oil with REnewable energy.

I hope Mr. Alderman figures out how to bypass the 34 mph EV limit soon. That is what all the Prius plug-ins out there are lacking, except the one Toyota is working on for 2009. Toyota may not even be able to release this plug-in Prius as is because of the Chevron battery patent settlement. Or at the very least, Toyota must pay huge royalties. Either way, Mr. Alderman's plug-in using Nilar batteries (no patent infringement) could be the most cost effective plug-in solution for a long time.

the companies should do small economic solar cars for everyone! not jut the expensive ones for the millonaires, they can still pay the gasoline!
